A man was shot late Saturday night in Hempstead, police say.

The principal of Central Islip High School has been charged with assault.

State troopers began patrolling the streets of Hempstead Village Friday as part of a new plan to combat crime.

A father and his two sons were selling counterfeit e-cigarette's to nearly a half a dozen stores across Long Island, prosecutors say.

Police are searching for an urn carrying ashes that was stolen from a car in North Babylon last week.

Delphia Robinson says her son Zaire was robbed and assaulted last weekend.
