News   Ex-NY Senate leader gets 5 years in prison for corruption   Former New York Senate Majority Leader and state Sen. Dean Skelos was sentenced to five years in prison on corruption charges. Skelos' son, Adam, is due to be sentenced later Thursday. Both were convicted last year of extortion, fraud and bribery.
