News   Sen. Murphy's filibuster ends after GOP agrees to gun law vote   This morning, Democrats in the Senate are claiming victory after Sen. Chris Murphy's 15 hour-long filibuster ended with a commitment from Republican leaders to vote on two proposals that would strengthen gun laws. Murphy began speaking at about 11 a.m. yesterday, and refused to give up the floor until Republicans agreed to consider a vote.
