News   Stamford mayor diagnosed with skin cancer   Stamford Mayor David Martin announced Thursday morning that he has been diagnosed with early-stage skin cancer. A spokeswoman for the mayor said he will undergo minor surgery in his facial area for the stage 0 melanoma next week, but that the surgery will not take Martin away from his duties as mayor.
