| News | | | Man accused in fatal teen shooting escorted out of police precinct | | | The suspect in the fatal shooting of an East Flatbush teen was escorted out of the 67th police precinct in Brooklyn Friday after turning himself in yesterday. Taariq Stephens, 24, is accused of shooting 16-year-old Shemel Mercurius. According to investigators, Stephens had been texting with Mercurius prior to the shooting on the sixth-floor of an apartment building on Brooklyn Avenue around 6 p.m. Tuesday. |
