Update Structure Fire 12/27/2016

Update #StructureFire; 10:57PM; 806 E 113th St; #SouthLosAngeles; In addition to the two male children in grave condition, a third child - a 4 y/o F, was rescued from the fire by a neighbor prior to LAFD arrival; She was later discovered at a neighboring home, and appeared uninjured before being taken by LAFD ambulance to an area hospital for further evaluation; Residents of the home - which was decorated for the holidays, included a total of SIX persons: the two gravely injured 3 y/o boys, the uninjured 4 y/o girl, the man with facial burns (father?), the uninjured woman (mother?) and another woman (grandmother?); The 'mother' and 'grandmother' were reportedly outside of the home at the time of the blaze; There was no immediate evidence of functional smoke alarms within the heavily damaged and well secured home, at which firefighters had to force entry through security doors and window bars; The residence was not equipped with optional fire sprinklers; The fire's cause, which has yet to be determined, remains the focus - per protocol, of joint LAFD/LAPD investigation; - Brian Humphrey
