Hello everyone!

As you know, we are running forward towards the launch of the empowr cryptocurrency coin in March. I’m happy to tell you that everything is on track.

For those of you just joining the conversation, or if you’d like to refresh your memory on any details, here a few posts – in chronological order:

A few weeks ago, we asked the community what we should do with our next billion coins:

  • Provide them to the community for growing the community, or
  • Sell them to outsiders (investors) and spend funds on marketing (new user acquisition) ...

...  to steadily increase demand (and price) of coins going forward

Together, we decided that we would measure the community’s response to that question from their pledges to invite people into empowr.

We decided that, if were able to get 100,000 pledges from our community, that would mean we would focus on distributing big numbers of coins to the community in exchange for their results in bringing in new citizens.

Good news:

I’m proud and excited to announce that the pledges have just surpassed 127,000!

We crushed our goal – and that was even after limiting any person’s votes to 50 – for the purposes of the total count -- even though many of you are clearly very motivated to bring in hundreds or even thousands of new citizens by yourself.

We did it! Congrats!!

OK, so this means that we are now fully committed to the process that we discussed a couple of weeks ago:  Reserving 1 billion coins for the community, as rewards for efforts in bringing in new citizens.

Again, if you’re just joining the conversation, go here to find out how you can earn thousands of empowr coins!

& nbsp;

What’s next?

Well, now that this process is officially “ON”, today we need to discuss three (3) things:

1.  How to achieve our goal of 100,000 invites
2.  How to ensure your invites are becoming productive (meaning they have earned 100 mission points or more)
3.  Question: Should we also sell a small percentage of coins to outsiders, to further help accelerate the community’s progress?

Let’s get started.

1.   Achieving 100,000 invites

The way the incentives have been set up, everyone is encouraged to share their learnings with each other.

We have set up a Central Collaboration Hub (CCH) so that everyone can share what’s working and what’s not yet working.

Please visit the CCH and review the comments – this is where everyone is posting links to their learnings!

Nice job for investing the time to share your growing kno wledge!

Your “one for all, and all for one” approach is very refreshing and is making everyone very proud.

More good news: We have already surpassed 11,000 successful registrations from your invitations since Jan 1st! We’re already 11% the way to our 100,000 goal!

This is very promising as we’re really just starting out (having just surpassed our 100K pledge vote).

I’m confident that the community’s biggest breakthroughs and innovations around how to bring in new citizens is still ahead of us!

2.  Ensuring invites reach 100 mission points

Even while we work together to discover even better ways to bring in new citizens, we should increase our focus to how to ensure our invites become productive -- as measured by their achieving 100 mission points.

Towards that objective, today we are rolling out a few items:

A.  Visibility into pledges, invites and productive invites

To help you track your progress, we’re installing a progress bar at the top right of your profile.

By the way, if you haven’t made your pledge yet, you can learn more about it here, and can make your pledge by visiting your profile and clicking on the link titled “Ready to become a big coin owner?”:

Once you’ve made your pledge, a progress bar will appear at the top right of your profile. The wider your progress bar, the more important (larger) your pledge is:

As you begin to sign up new empowr citizens, you’ll notice your progress bar begin to fill in:

First goal accomplished + new features launching

Then, as your new empowr citizens start to succeed by earning over 100 mission points, the light blue in your progress bar will begin to turn dark blue.

Remember, each time you successfully sign up new empowr citizens and then help them succeed (by helping them earn 100+ mission points), your invitee earns 25 free coins and you earn 100 coins, plus additional bonuses as you hit certain milestones along the way.

There is no better time to get focused on helping your invitees succeed – so we’re looking forward to seeing your progress bars turning dark blue very soon.

B.  Making it easier to earn mission points

Let’s make it easier for your invites (and for yourself) to earn more mission points.

Starting immediately:

1)    For every $1 in “item received” sales we m ake, we’ll now earn 2 mission points

2)    For every $1 in purchases we make from our PayPal, we’ll also earn 2 mission points

You’ll notice on the mission points leaderboard that your 30-day mission points have now been adjust ed with these new calculations.

C.  Mission Performance

Let’s make our personal performance much more visible and important.

Now, when you see someone’s profile photo, you’ll see a ring around it and a blue arrow pointing into it:

First goal accomplished + new features launching

Here’s what the Mission Performance ring communicates:

At the start of each month, you’ll have a Mission Goal set automatically by the system. The blue arrow pointing into photos indicates a target to reach by the end of the month.

(The goal is set by looking at what you were able to achieve last month, and comparing that to the top performers. The idea of the goal is to try to get 10% closer to the top performers than where you ended last month).

As you earn mission points, your ring will begin to fill. As you reach certain milestones to your goal, the ring will begin to change colors. For example, if the ring color is:

White = 0% of your goal (You’ve earned no mission points this month)
Grey = below 25% of your goal (You have earned at least 1 mission point since the month started)
Light Yel low = you are between 25% and 50% of your goal
Orange = You are between 50% and 75% of your goal
Light Blue = You are between 75% and 100% of your goal
Light Green = You have achieved or surpassed your goal

By filling your ring all the way to the end, you will have reached the same number of mission points as the top empowr citizens. Quite the accomplishment!

Everyone’s Mission Goal will be set on the first day of each month and will remain the same all month – until the first day of the following month (when it’s resets again).

Now that you’ve learned how the Mission Goal works, be on the lookout for all of the benefits are soon coming to reward those that are hitting their Mission Goals each and every month.

By showing your invites how to set their pledges, how to earn mission points, and what the ring and arrow around profiles mean, you are teaching them what they need to know to reach 100 mission points, earn 25 more coins, and become productive and successful in empowr.

D.  Helping success coaches help you

As you bring in new citizens into empowr, along with your own efforts, it would be good to know that the success coaches are also as focused as you are, on ensuring your invites succeed (= achieve 100 mission points).

Towards that objective, you’ll now be able to see how strong each success coach is doing -- in ensuring their students are reaching 100 mission points.

Simply visit the Success Coach Leaderboard – and now the “Student Success” column will show that information.

(Before, Student Success was measured by what % of the SCs’ students were hitting their Daily Goals. Of course, Daily Goals still matter but this change will further align success coaches with your own goals).

As a reminder, to ensure your invites are going to the success coaches that are most successful at helping students earn 100 mission points, you can visit your account settings...

First goal accomplished + new features launching

... and check the “Automatically assign anyone that I invite to my Success Coach" box:

First goal accomplished + new features launching

But first, don’t forget to switch your own success coach (to the coach you believe will be most successful at helping your students succeed) so that when your invites sign up, they are automatically assigned to that success coach.

If I were you, I would first have a conversation with the success coach of your choice, to hear for yourself about their commitment to working with your students to ensure they get productive (which is the moment that you – and your invitees -- earn your coins).

Increasing SC compensation for student success

To further help ensure that success coaches are well taken care of – as they double and triple their efforts to help your invitees become productive:

As mentioned above, effective immediately, the way SC “Student Success” is measured is switching from “% of Daily Goals Hit” to “% that achieved 100 mission points”.

Bonuses related to the “Student Success” metric will be quadrupled (4X increase) so that the SCs that are most effective at assisting their students to succeed will be taking home a lot of coins.

We now think rewarding SCs for their students’ success is a much better approach than rewarding them based on their students’ invitations so we’ll now be proceeding forward like this.

In addition, we are working with May Ram (the head of the SC program) and her senior leaders t o ensure empowr’s engineers are working on the top items they need to best support your invitees in becoming productive. They have a lot of good ideas and we’re excited to support them fully.

3.   Should we sell some coins to outsiders?

A number of community members have suggested that – along with setting aside most of the coins for the community --  empowr should also sell some coins so that we can more quickly improve the products.

As a result, we are considering selling 4% of the eventual supply to the general public using an ICO (initial coin offering).  By keeping it a smaller number, we can be sure that we won’t be diluting our supply and ensuring most of the coins will be owned by you – the community – which is important for the reasons recently discussed.

Please let us know your thoughts (and approval or disapproval) on this initiative.

Note: The mission wheel is being updated to fully work with coins! It will be down for a just a few days and completely back up, fully loaded with coins, next week!

Any questions? We’re here for you.

Your President,
