News   Brooklyn residents arrested in plot to join Islamic State   Federal authorities say three Brooklyn residents have been taken into custody for plotting to travel overseas to join the Islamic State group. They are charged with attempt and conspiracy to provide material support, and each faces 15 years in prison if convicted.
