News   Woman found dead with slashed throat in Red Hook   Police say a 51-year-old woman was found dead on a bench with a slash wound to her throat Thursday. The body was found near 110 West 9th St. in Red Hook around 4:30. Police say they responded to a 911 call for an assault in the area when they discovered the woman with a fatal slash across her neck.
